To the new members; I write about the vintage style of everything.
In this picture, I am 9 years old. During the holidays they had a photographer come to my mom’s beauty parlor and take pictures.
The salon was on Central Ave in Yonkers, La Dole Che’. The photographer had beautiful backgrounds. My choice was the pastel glitter background. My mother and I chose a beautiful white cotton dress with lace. My mom didn’t like the white belt so she added a silk 2 inch pale blue ribbon as a belt. The belt added just the right touch. My mom always has a vision in her mind of how fashion should look. I had my hair done at the hair salon before the picture.
This picture was the test shot. I loved watching my mom show me how to get ready for an event. She was the first celebrity stylist before anyone knew it!
